Marconi Ribbon Mic.---1934-59
This mic. has been used by the BBC until 1959
and said to have worked this way.The tiny
pressure changes cause the thin aluminium ribbon
to vibrate between between poles of the large
magnets, resulting in the generation of currents
which mimic the sound wave.
